I found some of the tastiest street food in Malaysia. Of course they're known for it. I wanted to learn about the various food in the area, so I took an evening food tour. We started with restaurants then moved on to street vendors.
This is the area of the street food vendors(below). The Chow Kit area which is predominantly Malay/Muslims. It's monsoon season and we got completely drenched. I wasn't really thinking about taking pictures, we were trying to stay dry and eat!
The houses are individual homes, a lot of them have been forced out, others started food service from their homes and eventually converted to restaurants. Since it's so close to city center, private businesses are buying them out and will probably put up high rises. This is the area of the street food vendors.
