So adding South Korea was a late addition, but I'm glad I decided to come. There's a lot of history here and it's nice to see how far they've come in a relatively short amount of time. Seoul is a major international city and I'm enjoying exploring it. With all the cool palaces, historical landmarks, and interesting cuisine this should be a blast to explore. As usual, I started my time with a food tour. As open minded as I've been, I finally came upon something that I just couldn't force myself to try- live octopus. When I saw it moving on the plate- that was a hard pass for me. I was gagging watching other people eat it. They said it was sucking on their tongue...and you swallowed it, why??? I wonder how long you can feel it move inside if you don't chew it enough...well, I'm not really wondering about that. I just want to move beyond it to be quite honest. Even looking at the video to post it here is making me queasy. Enjoy!

Tour guide eating live octopus - hard NO for me!

Other photo's from around town(from the roof of my downtown hotel and riding around town.

Unfortunately, they had a cold front come through the day before I arrived—yikes! I wasn't prepared for this, but I did the best that I could. You can see how gray the sky is in all the pictures—oh well. Next stop is Gyeongju. It's about a 2-hour train ride southeast of Seoul.
