After my 23-minute flight (as opposed to the 4-hour ferry), I arrived in El Nido. This was a much smoother transition than Coron. Not chaotic at all. The driver was at the airport with a sign with my name on it as promised, and in under 20 minutes, we had landed, I had my luggage, and was in the shuttle on my way to the hotel. It started raining, but no worries. It usually doesn't last too long. Check out the view from the balcony.

I didn't waste much time and booked my island hopping tour for the next day. I must say the Philippines has some absolutely amazing beaches, with beautiful clear azure water, so you can clearly see all the fish and coral.
Such natural beauty and friendly people! It's supposed to be even more beautiful further south. I can't wait! Next stop: Port Barton. I'm taking a van as no planes fly there. The travel time is approximately 2 hours. Quick note: I have found that waiting until I get to the new destination and having the hotel help me with transportation to the next destination has been most effective. You could prebook, but I am getting it for 25% of the services—yes, it's 4 times as much to prebook! I really didn't want to have to take a jeepney for hours. Everything I read talked about how uncomfortable it is. I took the risk so you don't have to. Book a private, air-conditioned van for transport locally. I'll let you know how it was tomorrow after the next leg of my journey, but I'm pretty confident it will be just fine. Stay tuned.
Absolutely beautiful!
