
I did a tour of Eastern Georgia, the main wine region for the country. Kakheti, Sighnaghi and Telavi. Unfortunately it was cold and rainy, so I didn't get many pictures -sorry!
Our final stop was a family winery where we tasted 7 wines and 3 Chacha's. That's a liquor similar to vodka made out of grapes. Bottom right these are used to make wine and Chacha.

This is Churchkhela- a famous treat. They said it was a sweet treat...it was pleasant. Made with fruit juice, dried fruit, nuts and seeds. I thought it was meat-lol!
I ended up staying in the last 3 days as the protest against the government began. I'll admit, it was nice to sit still, so I wasn't that upset over being stuck inside. Back to the US now. Stay tuned for more adventures-starting in Japan!
